Membership

Becoming a member of the Collective:

 

Becoming a member of the Black Culture Collective will enable you to:

 

  • Be a part of a community where you will have access to an active network of local artists, creative individuals and community/voluntary groups who you can network, collaborate, and share resources with.

  • Receive support from the Black Culture Collective team and associated professionals through a range of workshops, masterclasses and training opportunities in order to develop, promote and deliver their arts and culture projects and events to the public.

  • Attend and showcase the work you do at our forums and events.

  • Enjoy discounted rates to our events and workshops.

  • Have early access to any funding and or commissioning opportunities we offer.

  • Have priority to apply for funding from the Black Culture Collective and to be subcontracted to participate in the delivery of our projects, workshops and or events.

Eligibility to become a member:

Any person who wishes to become a member of the Black Culture Collective, is interested in furthering the work of the Collective and lives in the Royal Borough of Greenwich or London Borough of Bexley (for a period greater than 2 years) and works within, runs or is associated by agreement to a majority Black African or Caribbean led; corporate body, unincorporated association, business, voluntary sector or community group which provides arts, history or culture based projects and is based in or operating in the Royal Borough of Greenwich or London Borough of Bexley and; whose terms of reference or aims are not in conflict with those of the Black Culture Collective shall be eligible to be a member.​

An application for membership may only be refused if the named person/organisation associated with the application does not comply with the criteria in clauses 27.5 of the Black Culture Collective Memorandum of Association as outlined above, or acting reasonably and properly a director considers it to be in the best interests of the Black Culture Collective to refuse the application. 

Membership fee and processing:

You will need to complete an application form and pay the annual membership fee of £35 to become a member of the Black Culture Collective.

 

All membership applications will need to be approved by the Directors. Please complete the form attached to register your interest in becoming a member of the Black Culture Collective, a member of the team will be in touch with you upon receipt of this form to complete the membership process with you.
